Day 1
Drive to Rocky Mountain National Park
Arrive into Denver and collect your car and head north for an hour before relaxing in your first hotel. The first stop on this tour of America’s great outdoors is Rocky Mountain National Park. We can arrange a night at the airport before heading out if you prefer too.

Casper
Day 2
Onto Casper, Wyoming
Enjoy a half day in Rocky Mountain National Park. Later. you’ll drive northwest to the former frontier outpost of Casper in Wyoming. You may want to explore Fort Caspar, a reconstructed 1865 military post complete with a museum recalling the lively history of this part of the American West.

Day 3
Scenic drive to Yellowstone NP
Your personalised Itinerary Pack will help you find the most scenic roads that lead up to Yellowstone National Park. This is the worlds oldest National Park. Founded in 1872, the part has millions of years of history and is home to an abundant range of wildlife including bison, bighorn sheep and bobcats.

Old Faithful erupts
Day 4
Spell bounding Yellowstone NP
A full day to further explore Yellowstone’s wonders and wildlife. Unbelievably, half the worlds geysers are found here, including the most famous, Old Faithful. This iconic natural wonder spurts water over 90 to 80 feet in the air almost every hour. Enjoy taking in one of the National Park ranger-led talks or walks that depart daily from Old Faithful Lodge.

Explore Grant Teton NP
Day 5
Onto neighbouring Grand Teton NP
Head south to Grand Teton National Park today, which more than holds its own amongst its more famous neighbour. The park has a rich mix of extraordinary wildlife, pristine lakes and stunning alpine terrain. To call it beautiful would be an understatement.

Day 6
South to Dinosaur National Monument
After leaving the crystal clear waters and staggering mountains of Grand Teton National Park, you'll cruise the scenic roads down to Dinosaur National Monument. Dinosaurs once roamed here and their fantastic remains are still visible embedded in the rocks. Today, the mountains, desert and untamed rivers flowing in deep canyons, support an array of life.

Arches National Park
Day 7
The Canyonlands of South Utah
Entering Utah fully today, you'll drive south to Moab. The main highlight nearby is Arches National Park, with its iconic red-rock landscape. The park has over 2,000 natural stone arches, in addition to hundreds of soaring pinnacles, massive fins and giant balanced rocks. This really is a wonderland of geological proportions not found anywhere else in the world. Be sure to catch the sunset in the park if you can.

Canyonlands NP
Day 8
Canyonlands National Park
Enjoy another day in Moab. You may want to relax or possibly take in yet another National Park. Canyonlands is Utah's biggest in size and is a colourful landscape eroded into countless canyons, mesas and buttes by the Colorado and the Green Rivers.

Bryce Canyon NP
Day 9
Natures greatest theatre - Bryce Canyon
Drive west over to Bryce Canyon, famous for its unique geology consisting of a series of horseshoe-shaped amphitheatres carved from the eastern edge of the Paunsaugunt Plateau. The erosional force of frost-wedging and the dissolving power of rainwater have shaped the colourful limestone rock into bizarre shapes, including slot canyons, windows, fins, and spires called "hoodoos".

Day 10
Visit heaven on Earth
Emerald pools, lush green trees, rust red canyon walls and crystal clear skies are all crammed into this narrow valley. This combination of colours is a visual delight and the park's trails offer many more. Zion National Park is one The American Road Trip Company’s favourite destinations.

Day 11
Explore more of Zion’s natural beauty
More time to wander the trails and take in the geological wonders of Zion National Park. You may want to try and tackle Angel's Landing trail, culminating at a lofty perch, boasting magnificent 360-degree views over the valley below. Alternatively, walk the famous 'Narrows' which are often knee deep in water. Tonight, enjoy a meal in the town of Springdale, with plenty of local options to choose from.

Antelope Canyon
Day 12
Visit Antelope Canyon, Lake Powell and more
Driving south-east from Springdale is Page and Antelope Canyon. This famous canyon includes two separate, photogenic slot sections, referred to individually as Upper Antelope Canyon or The Crack; and Lower Antelope Canyon or The Corkscrew. Make sure your camera has plenty of room for photos - this is the most photographed slot canyon in the United States.

Monument Valley
Day 13
Scenic drive to Monument Valley
Heading east today you'll make your way to Monument Valley in Navajo Native American Territory. This magical area is an amazing experience, but particularly stunning at dawn or dusk. This movie set landscape is a thousand shades of orange and red makes this a truly memorable place to visit.

Hello Grand Canyon!
Day 14
The majesty of the Grand Canyon
Rounding south into Arizona today you'll arrive at the Grand Canyon South Rim. The worlds largest and most well known geological wonder is just staggering. Two billion years in the making, the Colorado River has forged a mile deep, 18 miles wide and 277-mile long gauge into Arizona. The ranger-led talks and guided walks here are well worth it. Tomorrow you'll drive south to Phoenix for your flight home or alternatively head west to Las Vegas.
