I just wanted to say a long overdue thank you for organising the road trip. We got the convertible Mustang that we wanted from the car rental for our trip and the whole 3 weeks went really well, we had a fantastic time – it has to be the best holiday we’ve been on. The car was briliant and all the places we stayed were great. In particular, our stay at Silver Spur Ranch was the standout. We had the whole place to ourselves and had a great time with Jay and the team there. We even ended up going round the bars in Bandera with Jay one afternoon/evening. My other particular highlight was horse riding through Monument Valley at dawn – it was spectacular and our Navajo guide was excellent and made the 3hrs of riding good fun! The folder that you guys prepare for the trip was really useful. It was great having a couple of different options on some of the driving routes, and we planned each day out using the suggestions in the folder – there was a few things there which we wouldn’t have done if we’d just followed the guide books etc. We’re already planning our next trip (we want to drive up the West Coast from LA to Vancouver – I lived in Portland, OR for a year so it will be great revisiting a few old haunts). Unfortuantely, it probably won’t be for a couple of years until we’re able to do that. When we are ready though I will be in touch. Also, we would definitely recommend ARTCO to anyone looking to do a US roadtrip.
