We loved cruising around The Hamptons

The Big Apple
Day 1
Arrive in New York and explore the Upper West Side
After arriving in New York, jump into a famous yellow cab and head for Manhattan. The next 3 days will be action-packed as you explore much of what we think is the greatest city on Earth. Perhaps start in the Upper West-Side, it has a residential feel combined with tasty foodie enclaves like the legendary Zabar’s Deli. The American Museum of Natural History can be found here too, it's an absolute must-visit for all ages.

Central Park
Day 2
Discover Central Park and the Upper East Side
Central Park is the most visited urban park in the US. With 843 acres of walking trails, ice rinks, cycle paths, a Zoo and even a castle you can easily spend the day here. Bordering one length of the park is 5th Avenue, home to some of the worlds most renowned museums like The Met and The Guggenheim. Upscale Madison and Park Avenue are here too, great for watching the wealthiest New Yorkers dip in and out the most expensive designer stores.

Lady Liberty
Day 3
Downtown's highlights await today
Downtown stretches down to Battery Park at the most southern tip of Manhattan, ferries leave from here to visit the iconic Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island. Just north, lies the Financial District's Wall St, New York Stock Exchange and the moving September 11 Memorial and Museum. Surrounding neighbourhoods offer a great contrast to this commercial hub - Soho, Greenwich, Tribeca and the Meatpacking District are crammed with cool bars, funky shops and irresistible restaurants.

Times Square
Day 4
Midtown shopping on 5th Avenue and world famous skyscrapers
Midtown's highlights include the New York Public Library, Grand Central Station, Bryant Park, Times Square, Broadway, The Rockefeller Centre and shopping on 5th Avenue. Be sure to leave enough time to visit The Empire State Building at dusk - you'll witness the sunset over New Jersey, followed by the lights of New York coming alive on your final evening in the Big Apple.

Gardiner Windmill
Day 5
Drive out to The Hamptons
If you can beat rush hour, then Broadway can be a great way to experience driving in the Big Apple. Pick your route and hit some of your favourite landmarks, before leaving Manhattan for the 90-mile drive from New York to the Hamptons. Stop-offs on Long Island might include Coney Island or the Gold Coast region. If driving out of Manhattan seems a little daunting (we won't blame you), then you can opt to pick up the car from JFK Airport instead. This makes for a much simpler 80-mile drive along the Sunrise Highway to The Hamptons. Alternatively, just cruise straight to the glamour and style of the Hamptons.

Millionaire Homes
Day 6
Mansions, Beaches & more
The Hamptons is home to many of New York's rich and famous, many of the mansions need to be seen to be believed. That being said, The Hamptons also offer charming clapperboard cottages, original windmills and some adorable village settings. Cruise around the leafy streets, shop in the quaint stores and enjoy great seafood picnics by the beach.

Coopers Beach
Day 7
Time to chill at the beach
Breathtaking beaches sit along much off the coastline from New York to the Hamptons. Two of our favourites include East Hampton’s Main Beach and Southampton’s Coopers Beach. Whilst in Montauk, the great State Parks of Camp Hero, Hither Hills and Montauk State Park all offer secluded natural beauty. Enjoy some quality relaxation time after your busy week, tomorrow you'll head back to the airport and fly back home to the UK.
