Everyone knows of New York. Made up of five boroughs, New York City sits surrounded by water including the Hudson River and the Atlantic Ocean in the northeast of America. Brooklyn, Manhattan, The Bronx, Queens and Staten Island form the famous city, each diverse in their unique way.

What to do in NYC?

Any road trip to New York would not be complete without a trip to Times Square! It’s a great starting point to get your bearings of the city. Right in the heart of the district, Times Square is the iconic NYC tourist stop. Here you are surrounded by the bright lights, adverts illuminating the giant screens and the odd celebrity or two. You’ll find the cheapest show tickets here in Times Square – so long as you’re prepared to stand in a queue for the morning. It’s not as bad as it sounds with all of the interesting characters around making for great people watching! Take some time to explore Central Park, spotting filming locations from film and TV. Here you can take a rowing boat out on the lake, lay on the Great Lawn or make a wish at the Bethesda Fountain. The Empire State Building, One World Observatory and Top of the Rock on the Rockefeller building are incredible buildings to visit. Each one will give you some of the best views of the city. New York City is packed with interesting museums, art exhibitions and performances which you are likely to see lots of as you walk around.
