We have just returned from the holiday of a lifetime, three and a half weeks driving from Portland all the way down to Los Angeles. We got to see incredible sights along the way such as the coastal redwoods, crater lake national park, Zion canyon and even some zebra at Hearst Castle. Everything was beautiful and the recommended routes were incredibly scenic.

Our contact at ARTCo, Corinne, put our experience and requirements at the front of her mind when planning our trip for us. We told her what we wanted to see and they filled in the gaps in between and even suggesting different options for us. Absolutely everything was organised perfectly. As we are a couple fresh out of University our budget was slightly more limited, and Corinne went above and beyond to find deals and alternatives that still let us do exactly what we wanted without compromise. They put us in wonderful hotels in the best locations so we could get the most from our experience (like Hotel G in San Francisco which was walking distance from Chinatown, the Painted Ladies, the High Fashion shops and Golden Gate Park). Although we went for lower star hotels for budget reasons, our hotels were always in safe areas and were a pleasure to stay in.

We chopped and changed a lot of the standard trip model that we’d chosen in order to see the things we really wanted to see. Nothing was too much trouble and our agent took the time to develop and make a personalised route that suited the sights we wanted to see and our timescale.

We received a lovely personalised itinerary pack which was filled with all our trip details as well as recommended sites and routes to make the most of the trip, and even some helpful notes on driving and tipping in the USA. Everything went according to plan and we had no problems checking into hotels or picking up/dropping off the car or catching flights. Our flights were with a very good airline (Delta), which meant the 12+ hour travel time flew by.

Thanks to ARTCo, the trip was perfect and we are already planning our next one. Cannot recommend this company enough for any Brits (or anyone else!) thinking to go on a classic USA roadtrip holiday.
