We have had the most wonderful trip!! It was such a pleasure from beginning to end. We had no problems anywhere. So many surprises every time we came to a new hotel and they where nearly all lovely and special. The amazing things we have seen and the endless beautiful country the USA is.We met so many kind and lovely people. The Americans are always curious to hear where we came from and they are so easy to talk to.

I cannot thank you enough for the splendid organisation Laura, you are and absolute star! Also the pick-up for the car was so easy in Seattle, just one street up from the hotel and return in LA was very easy as well.

Our favorite of all the places was for me Carmel, such a sweet town! I could live there. We rented bikes and drove along the coast. It was gorgeous! In Calistoga we took a wine tour on stand up e-bikes which was great fun.

The upgrade to business class was definitely worth it. It was such a treat and we arrived relaxed and had no jetlag arriving in Vancouver.

All together it has been so very amazing. You are such a good organiser Laura! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!

Highly recommend The American Road Trip Co. We had a fantastic month of travel East Coast to West Coast, a few hiccups at the start (our fault not theirs) and our emails and query’s where responded to very quickly the team were always on hand to answer any questions we had.

The car hire and hotels were brilliant and the road trip pack was fantastically laid out with so much information on things to do at all our different stops. We got to see so much of America thanks to their brilliant knowledge and planning. Special thank you to James who put together our trip and stayed in regular contact when we needed him!

I just wanted to thank you for all your work around our recent trip to California.  We had an amazing time!

We loved San Francisco as it was so easy to get about. The wine train in Napa was also a highlight.  The River view hotel there was really good and so well placed.

The section around Lake Tahoe and Yosemite were just stunning.  We took Highway 4 across the mountains where there was still snow banked up from the winter. The road was so scenic we had to make loads of stops to take photos.

We managed to do the Big Sur down to the closure and our stay in Monterey was lovely too, where we had time to do the Aquarium and to visit Carmel.

Santa Barbara was my favourite ‘Seaside’ town, with lots of shops to browse around and a great pier, the hotel there was lovely being right opposite the beach.

The Garland hotel was lovely and the pool area was just what was needed for our last day there. Now to save up for another trip……!

My husband and I have been so pleased with the Artco from A to Z. We initially booked 3 years ago but then covid hit. The booking process was really easy and we decided to tailor the East Coast itinerary as we wanted to go to New Orleans. We had our say in everything from the hotels to the number of nights.

The ARTCo was always present to reply our (numerous) questions, so thank you to Corinne & Christian! Due to covid, we had to postpone the trip but it was stressfree and everything was made clear to us.

Prior to the trip,  we have received the travel folder with all the precious information and bookings. It was all clear and well organised. We came back a few days ago and everything ran smoothly,  we were pleased with the hotels that were booked for us and the locations. We felt like we were on a movie set the whole time! We recommend the Artco 100% and would book again in the blink of an eye!

Unfortunately our holiday was cancelled due to the first lockdown and with less than 24 hours until we were due to fly! NIGHTMARE…… or so we thought. We had constant contact with Corinne who was extremely helpful throughout the entire process. We also had Christian the md contact us via phone on a Sunday evening helping talk us through what happens and where we stood and what our options were, honestly this call alone calmed us both down from our panic stations. It really is the little things and the customer service that makes them stand out no question or querie is too much and they will always get back to you quickly. So pleased with the brilliant service we received from The American Road Trip Company. We were able to add to their itineraries, then tweak so we went to particular places/hotels until we were happy. Then before we departed, an amazing guide dropped through our letterbox which contains all the booking information for flights, car & hotels, details of every leg of the journey and recommendations for stop-offs and what to do in each place as well as tips for roadtripping and a guide to driving in the US (very useful!). The cherry on the cake was when there were major issues with BA on our morning of take off, they even phoned to inform us & reassure/check things were ok. We spent 3 weeks road-tripping around California, Arizona and Nevada and had the most incredible time. We were so impressed with the hotels they booked: quirky ones you wouldn’t necessarily book yourself but which they’ve stayed in & loved. Highly recommend using them if you’re thinking of doing an American roadtrip. We would definitely book with them again – stress-free holidaying. Thank you ????

My husband and I booked through this company for our Honeymoon and we do not have any regrets whatsoever! They were incredibly helpful and the whole booking process was completely stress free (which was what we needed whilst planning a wedding!). We’d never been to America before so needed a bit of help, they were so experienced and knew all the best places to visit in California. Before our travels, we received a pack which included all the info for our hotels, flights, car etc. and also tons of recommendations of places to see/visit and best routes to take which was so useful! All in all, our trip was absolutely perfect and we could not recommend this company more! ????

We had an absolutely fantastic time and all the arrangements worked like clockwork.  The hotels were great especially the Kimptons in DC and Baltimore. There were so many memories but highlights include getting stuck in a Amish cart and horse traffic jam, eating way too many pancakes with syrup, watching arena football in Washington, hiking up to the top of the Skyland mountain and watching the sunset over the Shenandoah Valley, hiring bikes to cycle the George Washington Highway to Mount Vernon… too many wonderful things to recount. 

The binder that you made up for us was invaluable as were the maps and tips for places to visit. We made use of both the direct routes and some of the indirect ones too and managed to cover 1300 miles in the 10 days we had the car.  It felt like we had seen masses of the country although it was only a tiny part of it on the map. Thanks so much – we’ll definitely be looking to do another road trip in the US so we’ll no doubt be in touch again in the future.

Just returned from 19 nights in the US. Two weeks driving from Arizona to LA via Grand Canyon, Las Vegas, Yosemite, San Francisco and Monterey and then flew to New York for 4 nights. It was truly the holiday of a lifetime and we had an amazing time. It was all arranged by ARTCO who were excellent and booked all the hotels, flights and car hire. The hotels were a great mix of 4* hotels, motels and cosy cabins depending on where we were staying and we loved every moment of our trip. Firstly I don’t even know where to start but we just wanted to thank you and Artco for all the work you did to create such a wonderful trip for our honeymoon to California. We had the best three weeks of our lives! Every detail and hotel was well thought out and well planned, we didn’t have one single issue whilst we were away… it really could not have gone any smoother.

We loved the driving and stopping off along all the roads and looking at all the little towns and landmarks along the way, when we have been telling people all the things we have done and seen, they can’t believe how much we managed to fit in to one trip! We had a brand new Mustang from Alamo, only 4 miles on the clock when we collected it so that was pretty special – we returned it with just shy of 3000!! We did think about driving around the block a few times so it would tick over but LAX hasn’t got the scenery we had become accustomed to!

I think whilst everything was amazing in its own right we think our favourite part had to be the drive from Lone Pine to Tahoe and then to Yosemite. That part of California is just really special, Yosemite might just be the most beautiful place on Earth. Thank you again, for everything!

I just wanted to say how amazing our road trip was – it really was incredible and we made so many memories. We visited places we never thought we’d get the chance to and we have got the road trip bug! I admit that I was initially in two minds about using a travel agent to plan a trip as we’d previously organised holidays ourselves but I am so glad we did. We had such a wonderful time and I know that had we done it ourselves, we wouldn’t have felt so secure in our plans and we’d certainly have missed out on some of the amazing accommodation and side trips. Not just that but the snippets of advice in the planning stage were so welcome. The itinerary pack was our bible on the trip and being able to keep it as a memento of our holiday is brilliant. Finally, I wanted to thank both you and Corinne for getting in touch while we were away to discuss the Napa fires and the issue with the hotel booking in Lake Powell. Having someone to discuss these things with is invaluable – you were able to call us and say ‘this is the potential problem but we’ve solved it in these ways’. Our time away went so quickly considering it was a month but it was exactly as we’d wanted it. Thank you so much. We will be recommending you to all friends and family.

I just wanted to say a long overdue thank you for organising the road trip. We got the convertible Mustang that we wanted from the car rental for our trip and the whole 3 weeks went really well, we had a fantastic time – it has to be the best holiday we’ve been on. The car was briliant and all the places we stayed were great. In particular, our stay at Silver Spur Ranch was the standout. We had the whole place to ourselves and had a great time with Jay and the team there. We even ended up going round the bars in Bandera with Jay one afternoon/evening. My other particular highlight was horse riding through Monument Valley at dawn – it was spectacular and our Navajo guide was excellent and made the 3hrs of riding good fun! The folder that you guys prepare for the trip was really useful. It was great having a couple of different options on some of the driving routes, and we planned each day out using the suggestions in the folder – there was a few things there which we wouldn’t have done if we’d just followed the guide books etc. We’re already planning our next trip (we want to drive up the West Coast from LA to Vancouver – I lived in Portland, OR for a year so it will be great revisiting a few old haunts). Unfortuantely, it probably won’t be for a couple of years until we’re able to do that. When we are ready though I will be in touch. Also, we would definitely recommend ARTCO to anyone looking to do a US roadtrip.

I just wanted to drop you a line to thank you so much for arranging a fabulous holiday for us.

About this time last year we decided we wanted to go to the West Coast and so as is often the case I did nothing about it! As Christmas came and went I started to talk to travel agents I had used in the past and it became clear they were not going to think outside the box and were stuck with Pre determined trips.

By the power of google I found your company. I remember still ringing you on a Saturday morning trying to explain what we wanted to do. You listened, didn’t say no and came back to us with your thoughts. You simply “got us” and what we wanted! Over the next few days you helped us craft a trip to take into account our particular demands and needs and never once did anything other than help!!

Booking completed your fabulous pack arrived and we all enjoyed reading up on our trip and took the chance  to book various tickets in advance for things we wanted to do. We went to a six flags park in San Francisco, toured Alcatraz, went whale and dolphin watching in Monterey and enjoyed a VIP experience at Universal Studios. To end the trip on a high we flew to the Grand Canyon and had a champagne pic nic in the canyon.

Each hotel you chose met our needs and the drives were all manageable. Being a typical boy I upgraded the car at the rental desk, but truth be known the car you booked was more than perfect!!

On our penultimate day when BA cancelled our flight home, your colleague was a super star and sorted out new flights and changed our rental car return and Heathrow parking. If ever there was a reason to have travel agents it’s a flight cancellation and you guys just sorted things out!

We had the holiday of a life time and can only say thank you for your help. It doesn’t seem enough, but it was just superb.

We will probably do a beach holiday next summer but might aim to hit the East Coast the year after and we will definitely be in touch then. Thank you again for everything,

We have just returned from the holiday of a lifetime, three and a half weeks driving from Portland all the way down to Los Angeles. We got to see incredible sights along the way such as the coastal redwoods, crater lake national park, Zion canyon and even some zebra at Hearst Castle. Everything was beautiful and the recommended routes were incredibly scenic.

Our contact at ARTCo, Corinne, put our experience and requirements at the front of her mind when planning our trip for us. We told her what we wanted to see and they filled in the gaps in between and even suggesting different options for us. Absolutely everything was organised perfectly. As we are a couple fresh out of University our budget was slightly more limited, and Corinne went above and beyond to find deals and alternatives that still let us do exactly what we wanted without compromise. They put us in wonderful hotels in the best locations so we could get the most from our experience (like Hotel G in San Francisco which was walking distance from Chinatown, the Painted Ladies, the High Fashion shops and Golden Gate Park). Although we went for lower star hotels for budget reasons, our hotels were always in safe areas and were a pleasure to stay in.

We chopped and changed a lot of the standard trip model that we’d chosen in order to see the things we really wanted to see. Nothing was too much trouble and our agent took the time to develop and make a personalised route that suited the sights we wanted to see and our timescale.

We received a lovely personalised itinerary pack which was filled with all our trip details as well as recommended sites and routes to make the most of the trip, and even some helpful notes on driving and tipping in the USA. Everything went according to plan and we had no problems checking into hotels or picking up/dropping off the car or catching flights. Our flights were with a very good airline (Delta), which meant the 12+ hour travel time flew by.

Thanks to ARTCo, the trip was perfect and we are already planning our next one. Cannot recommend this company enough for any Brits (or anyone else!) thinking to go on a classic USA roadtrip holiday.

The four of us have just arrived home from a fantastic trip to the USA.

It was everything we wanted it to be and more; we managed to fit in all our priorities – cycling the Golden gate, LA by La La Land locations, Grand Canyon, Death Valley and Yosemite. But the trip was so much more than that; the best things were the surprise discoveries along the way, the roads that we drove through some fantastic scenery, the people we met who were invariably friendly and incredibly helpful, and of course the weather – 19 days of sun and no fog in SF!

Thank you so much for all your work in putting this together; everything went incredibly smoothly, the hotels were great and the Chevy Tahoe (aka Butch) was ideal – with teenagers we needed the space!

I would absolutely recommend ARTCo to anyone who was planning a USA Road Trip and who, like us, felt slightly daunted trying to put it together. Liz and I are already discussing where next!

We were quite picky with some of the things we wanted; having started with one of your Californian “standard” trips, we then ended up chopping and changing this quite a lot to suit our wants. The whole way through Corinne was accommodating, superbly knowledgeable and resourceful and extremely quick with her turnarounds of quotes etc. She consistently under-promised and over-delivered which I think is a fantastic characteristic to have within your field; one which we hadn’t really experienced until dealing with ARTCo., and Corinne. She also did a fantastic job of listening to what we wanted, which on the face of it sounds quite obligatory but was a refreshing change to some of the other people and companies we’d dealt with up until that point. Once we’d dealt with Corinne, there was no way we were booking our holiday with anyone but yourselves. As a side-note, your company was fantastic with the whole BA issue of getting home, and I may have even spoken to yourself when it was late at night on Saturday in the UK and we were in our hotel wondering what to do. Corinne again had even gone above-and-beyond and emailed us with updates while she was in Texas on a trip herself. I just wanted to take a minute to thank you and ARTCo. for an amazing trip, and assure you we will 100% be returning to you for our next U.S adventure in the future.

My partner and I got back last week after spending three weeks driving Route 66 before finishing with a slight detour through Yosemite and on to San Francisco. Rather than say it was a mere holiday, I can only describe it as a once in a lifetime experience and we loved every minute of it. We had a great time exploring each new destination, as well as discovering all the hidden gems along each leg of the journey. Our hotels were all fantastic and we had a lot of fun in our (pretty much brand new) Jeep, that took us all 2’800-odd miles from Chicago to San Francisco (plus some little detours along the way). All of which added up to a completely stress free trip, which was further enhanced with our personalised itineraries, guide books and maps that made up our exceptionally thorough pack.

I cannot speak highly enough of the American Road Trip Company and have already been recommending a similar trip to friends. Anybody I have contacted at ARTCO has been extremely helpful and nothing was ever too much hassle.

From the moment we arrived in Vancouver until we got to SFO everything was seamless and everyone very helpful. Just a quick note regarding our recent holiday to New England in March.Stowe made for a charming base. The Green Mountain Inn was a lovely old hotel, and the attached restaurant called “The Whip” offered amazing lunches and diners. We ate there every day, it really was superb. Please continue to use this hotel for your customers.

When we arrived in North Conway I must admit it lacked the charm of Stowe, however skiing with Mount Washington in the back ground was simply beautiful and the drive from Vermont to New Hampshire was lovely.

The few days in Boston was a nice finish to our holiday, although it was a little cold for sightseeing at times. All in all, we thoroughly enjoyed the break and you have our thanks.

He let us off when he heard our exaggerated British accents, I’ll remember this for next time. Anyways, it was an amazing holiday and we will definitely take a road trip again.

We loved every part of our trip across California and are very grateful to Chris for adapting the trip to include San Diego and then New York at the end. Every single hotel was spot on, from the luxurious Venetian in Vegas to the quaint inns we stayed at in carmel and pismo beach. To make the trip even more perfect, the weather was beautiful and even the flights were good (and I hate flying!). Our hire car also turned out to be a convertible camaro which was amazing! The drive through Death Valley was probably the most enjoyable one of my life. Going for dinner at Clint Eastwood’s Mission Ranch in Carmel. Meeting Theo the Cat at the Henry Miller Museum down on the Big Sur also made for a lovely morning stop!

A massive thank you for organising the most amazing holiday ever! Every step of the way, every corner was truly breath-taking and we both loved America! I can’t rate it highly enough! From the Golden Gate Bridge, over to the breath taking heights of Glacier Point, the winding roads of PCH then onto LA with its vast size….and Vegas, well we was left speechless which says it all! Each hotel was accommodating and rooms suited each stay with regards to location and comfort. Our rental car was perfect, American muscle Black Chevy Camero RS!!! We clocked up a staggering 1500 miles and loved every minute of it! I will tell anyone who hasn’t been to America to speak with you guys.

Now that the dust has settled after our New England Road Trip, I must write to thank you for planning and arranging our trip. I cannot fault the holiday, it was fantastic. We found, once we hit the scenic route up alongside Lake Ontario, it was like moving into a different world. Upper New York State didn’t disappoint. At that point, we realised stopping to make brief forays into the local area were an essential part of the holiday and the term “road trip” took on a new meaning. We loved it. In fact, I think New York State was as beautiful as New England in many of the parts we saw. I have 1500 photos as testament. I have, of course, recommended the holiday to friends and family and for anyone going on that trip, my one piece of advice would be: always take the scenic route, forget time saving. You will see so much more on the scenic routes.
For your feedback, all hotels were great, beds comfortable, service good, flights fine both for timing and for quality (British Airways). Car rental experience good, sat nav invaluable, although we frequently deviated from the nice American lady’s instruction. Once again, thank you. The holiday was worth every penny!
