Day 1
Land in Los Angeles
Arrive into Los Angeles International, welcome to the City of Angels! With its “Baywatch” beaches and old-fashioned Pier the beach cities are a fantastic place to start your road trip and just 9 miles from LAX on Highway 1. Hire a bike and cruise the boardwalk down to Venice Beach or shop your heart out on 3rd Street Promenade.

Day 2
Spend the day enjoying iconic Hollywood
Tinseltown is synonymous with glitz and glamour, and although many of the studios have now moved on to other parts of the city, it's still fun to visit the home of the Oscars and walk Hollywood Boulevard looking for the handprints of your favourite movie stars. Just a short drive northeast of here lies the Griffith Observatory perched high on a hill overlooking the urban sprawl of LA, this landmark is well worth a visit and is great for views of the legendary Hollywood sign.

A third day to explore LA LA Land
Beverly Hills offers the chance to see movie star homes with sky-high fences on palm tree lined streets. Discover the charming town of Laguna Beach in Orange County
50 miles south of LAX is lovely Laguna Beach. This wealthy area of Los Angeles has grown as an escape destination for artists and is packed with independent galleries and artisan boutiques. It’s a very welcoming and charming place to stay, why not check out other beach cities along PCH such as "Surf City USA" - Huntington Beach along with the exclusive Orange County town of Newport Beach.

Surfs up in SoCal
Discover Laguna Beach’s coves, galleries and millionaire homes. Many of the stylish homes hang on the cliff edges above small secluded beach coves, pick out your favourite as you stroll along the pristine beaches. Enjoy activities such as surfing, sunbathing and kayaking in this sun-drenched part of the California coast.

Day 6
So much to see in San Diego
A short drive down to San Diego along the final stretch of the Pacific Coast Highway, be sure to stop at Torrey Pine State Reserve en route, this glorious spot is right on the road so why not stop off to explore the coastal trails en-route? Other highlights in San Diego include Balboa Park, Gaslamp District and the world-famous San Diego Zoo.

San Diego has a year round daily forecast of 21 degrees C and is a great place to relax by the hotel pool or chill on Coronado Beach? Day 8
Head through wine regions and deserts en route to Palm Springs
Spend your morning by the pool before heading east to Sinatra’s favourite getaway. Your San Diego to Palm Springs drive encompasses the spectacular coast before heading inland through the wine area of Temecula and then like a mirage in the desert you reach the the luxurious shelter of Palm Springs.

Popular for events such as Coachella and Modernism Week, Palm Springs is rich in experiences. It's an amazing all year round destination though. Forget your worries whilst you lay by the pool, shoot some rounds of golf, or cruise the radiant streets and take in the modernist architecture. Made famous by the Hollywood stars of yesteryear, Palm Springs makes a wonderful pitstop on any road trip.

Day 10
London Bridge in Lake Havasu!
Joshua Tree National Park is an alien landscape, characterized by rugged rock formations and stark desert landscapes. Named for the region’s twisted, bristled Joshua trees, the park straddles the cactus-dotted Colorado Desert and the Mojave Desert. Continue east to the oasis of Lake Havasu, where you can visit the original London Bridge which was imported here from London in the 1970s.

The awe inspiring Grand Canyon
The worlds biggest hole is an awe-inspiring natural wonder. Two billion years in the making, the Colorado River has forged a mile deep, 18 miles wide and 277-mile long gauge into Arizona. Take in the views from the Canyon’s rim whilst you enjoy the changing colours during sunset and sunrise.

Day 12
Cruise along Route 66 to Las Vegas
After watching the sunrise over the Grand Canyon, you'll head south to Williams and then turn west onto Route 66. We recommend you stick to the original Route 66 route, which passes iconic Mother Road towns like Seligman, Hackberry and Oatman. The Hoover Dam is also a marvel to behold on this drive today, what a feat of engineering! After settling into your chosen Las Vegas hotel, why not get dressed up and hit the town for a night of partying and maybe even a little gambling.

Waking up in Vegas
If your head hurts after a big night out, you can always relax by the amazing pools adorning nearly every hotel. Stretch your legs with a walk along the legendary 'strip', book tickets to one of the incredible shows or take some retail therapy. We recommend visiting one of the over the top buffets in the hotels. Just make sure you are hungry when you go, the range and quality of the food is amazing value.

Day 14
Enjoy your final day in Las Vegas
Las Vegas has something for everyone, why not take a helicopter ride along the strip or see the Grand Canyon from the air? On everyone's list is checking out the Bellagio Fountains, you could also take a Gondola ride at the Venetian. Why not watch a world class show, Vegas is a great place to do it? We usually try to book a late flight back tomorrow to give you more time for fun and so you can sleep during the flight home, so plenty of time to do as much sightseeing, partying or relaxing as you'd like until then - Viva Las Vegas!
