Day 1
You'll start your tour of Atlantic Canada in Halifax, Nova Scotia
After a relatively short flight from the UK, you'll settle into your chosen Halifax accommodation before enjoying dinner on the waterfront or close to your hotel.

Day 2
A full day to explore historic Halifax highlights
The city is dominated by a citadel that sits above the town, this former fort is a National Historic Site of Canada and a must-see for anyone visiting Halifax in our opinion. Next we recommend you work your way down to the waterfront boardwalk via points of interest like the Halifax Public Gardens, Halifax Public Library and the Canadian Museum of Immigration. We then suggest you finish the day with a cruise on the water or a meal on the boardwalk.

Day 3
Collect the car and head east along the shoreline
Time to get behind the wheel and set out on an epic road trip around Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island and New Brunswick. The amount of coastal driving on this particular holiday is simply astounding, and the first leg of this trip along the eastern shore of Nova Scotia is a great place to start.

The Cabot Trail
Day 4
Continue east to the wonderland that is Cape Breton Island
Today you'll continue east to Cape Breton. Technically an island, Cape Breton is linked to the rest of Nova Scotia by the Canso Causeway. Once you're over the bridge you'll head up the northern side of the UNESCO protected Bras d'Or Lake, before joining the world famous Cabot Trail route which is located in the northeastern tip of Nova Scotia.

Day 5
A relaxing day enjoying the area's stunning scenery
Scenic highlights include Ingonish Beach, Cape Breton Highlands National Park and Cape Smokey Provincial Park. If you're a history lover then consider heading south to the Fortress of Louisbourg Historic Site or the Cape Breton Miners' Museum which is located in Glace Bay.

Day 6
Drive the legendary Cabot Trail, before relaxing by Bras d'Or Lake
The Cabot Trail is considered one of the best drives in North America, today you'll spend the whole day completing this amazing loop past Cape Breton Highlands National Park and mile upon mile of epic coastal scenery. Once you've completed the drive and maybe a hike or two, you'll finish off the day with a well deserved beer or glass of wine on the shores of Bras d'Or Lake.

Day 7
Leave Nova Scotia and take a ferry over to Prince Edward Island
Time to swap one stunning landscape for another slightly different but equally pleasing one. Firstly, you'll head west to Pictou, your unique Road Trip Pack will inform you about the area's highlights you can consider stopping at along the way. From Pictou, Nova Scotia you'll board a ferry and take a short ferry ride over to rural Prince Edward Island. Once your back on dry land, we recommend you swing by Point Prim Lighthouse on your way to your next stop... the adorable Charlottetown.

Day 8
Literature fans may want to spend the day exploring Cavenish
If you consider yourself a bit of a bookworm, then you are probably familiar with the Anne of Green Gables series of books written by Lucy Maud Montgomery. The writer was a resident of a small town called Cavendish, which lies 20 miles northwest of Charlottetown. Fans flock from all around the world to see the area the books were based on and to walk in the foot steps of the books lead character - Anne Shirley. If this doesn't appeal, then you can simply enjoy the islands scenery or explore Charlottetown's charming streets and shops.

Prince Edward Island NP
Day 9
Explore the wonderful beaches of Prince Edward Island
Prince Edward Island National Park is a delightful coastal area just north of Charlottetown. Walk the boardwalk in Greenwich, and then relax on one of the quiet beaches. In the evening, you can dine at one of the excellent restaurants found on or close to Queen Street. After dinner we highly recommend you get into the "Anne of Green Gables " spirit and enjoy a performance of the broadway quality musical which operates to critical acclaim each summer.

Day 10
Go in search of the worlds highest tide in New Brunswick
Today you'll cross the 13km long Confederation Bridge and enter your third province - New Brunswick. The Bay of Fundy awaits, with its record breaking tidal activity and some crazy "flower pot" formations. Our trip is designed to ensure you'll get to witness both high and low tide, including the opportunity to walk on the ocean floor whilst the tide is out. Hopewell Rocks is a simply a must-see stop as you make your way to lovely Alma on the north side of the Bay.

Fundy National Park
Day 11
A whole day to enjoy the natural wonders this area has to offer
A full day to ensure you can walk on the ocean floor during low tide in the Bay of Fundy, afterwards we recommend you either go out on the water or enjoy a hike within neighbouring Fundy National Park.

Day 12
Wineries, history and tidal bore rafting are on offer today!
Time to return to Nova Scotia, you'll spend the morning driving to the south side of the Bay of Fundy. During the afternoon, you can opt to ride a tidal bore along the Shubenacadie River, see more Bay of Fundy "flower pot" formations in Burntcoat Head Park, step back in time at the UNESCO world heritage site of Grand Pre or enjoy a wine tasting experience in Wolfville.

Day 13
Historic Annapolis Royal awaits
Have a leisurely morning in delightful Wolfville and neighbouring Grand Pre, before taking the short drive over to history ladened Annapolis Royal to the west. Today is a relaxing day after a busy day 12, so find yourself a nice chair somewhere to finish off your holiday reading book, catch up on your holiday diary writing or to post those all important social media updates.

Day 14
Onto Unesco World Heritage protected Lunenburg & Peggy's Cove
