Where is Point Lobos, California?

Point Lobos State Natural Reserve is just south of Carmel on the Scenic Highway 1. When heading to Monterey and Carmel, Point Lobos is a stop you won’t want to miss. You will find endless views of the Pacific Ocean, intriguing rock caves, natural arches and coves and tide pools full of life. Here you can spend hours hiking the quiet trails and walking the footpaths between the blooming flowers and crashing waves. There are no amenities here, so pack up a picnic to enjoy in a secluded spot whilst you look out into the vast blue! Dependant on the time of year you are visiting, you may even spot a whale or dolphin. Sea Otters and sea lions can be seen here all year, with grey whales, humpback whales and dolphins passing through and enjoying the rich marine ecosystem.

There is a charge of $10 per vehicle to enter Point Lobos, with parking all along the entrance roads. As you enter the Park. You will be given a map of Point Lobos.
