This glamorous neighbourhood is the pinnacle of the film industry, its appeal almost as famous as its productions. Although many of the studios have now moved onto other parts of the town, the experience of visiting the home of the Oscars and walking down Hollywood Boulevard remains as scintillating as it is spectacular. The Griffith Observatory lies just a short drive towards the north east, perched on a peak overlooking the urban region of LA, and is a recently renovated landmark worth visiting.

Visit Venice Bech for all the bohemian vibes, quirky people watching and artistic street performers and vendors. The Venice skate park attracts all skate enthusiasts, and gym buffs head to the outdoors gym … and if you don’t want to join in its a great spectator sport! 

Where to spot a celebrity in Hollywood?

Everyone hopes to spot someone famous in L.A. In this city you never know who’s around the corner! There are many tours which will take you to known hangouts, celebrity homes or even restaurants. Whilst you certainly won’t spot a celeb strolling along the Walk of Fame, you’re guaranteed some star-studded action. Then take a trip down the iconic Sunset Boulevard.

Head to the Beach…

Each of the beaches of Los Angeles has a totally different vibe to them. Visit Santa Monica’s pier for excitement in the amusement park marking the very end of Route 66. For a truly eclectic collection of people, visit the nearby beach town of Venice. If you don’t have loads of time in Los Angeles, make sure Venice is on your radar before you leave.

Remain open minded. People generally assume Los Angeles will look just like a movie set. It’s so much more than that, it’s life! This is a real city, albeit with movie sets and stars all over the place, with real people who live and work here. It really is a brilliant city with so much to offer, don’t get overwhelmed by the size and spirit of L.A.
